Working as a Lanterna IB Tutor

Tutoring Winter Revision and Spring IB Exam Preparation courses

Each Winter Revision Course lasts two and a half days and each Spring Revision Course last two days. These course types give students a full walk-through of the syllabus. As a tutor you will be required to guide students through your subject’s core syllabus highlighting important topics, explaining difficult parts and demonstrating efficiency. The tutoring should be complemented with exam practice and general advice on how to structure ones revision for that subject.

Tutoring IB summer courses

Each summer courses last six days (with 4 days of tuition) and are aimed at students who are in the middle of the IB Diploma Programme (mid-IB courses) and at students who are just about to embark on studying for their Diploma (pre-IB courses). The mid-IB summer courses require you to review students’ first year knowledge and prime topics that they will encounter during their final year. The Pre-IB summer course requires all-round skills in the IB subjects as you will introduce skills and concepts necessary for basic success in all the subject groups of the hexagon.
