Accommodation and facilities at the Mid-IB summer course in the UK
Safe, cozy and beautiful.
You will stay in the beautiful residential houses of Bradfield College. The rooms are place in single gender halls and there is always at least one member of staff staying in your hall.
The accommodation is safely situated a few minutes’ walk from both the teaching facilities and the sports facilities.
The Rooms
The rooms are bright and comfortable and equipped with a desk where you can study quietly. You also have a closet and a sink in your room, and there is free wireless internet in access in all rooms. We will provide you with bed sheets and linens (you need to bring your own towels).
Twin bedroom
Accommodation in a twin bedroom is included in the Mid-IB summer course fee. If you wish to share a room with an attending friend, you mention this in the accommodation section when you book your courses. Please note that it has to be a friend of the same gender since the halls are single-gender. If you don't have anyone to share a room with, then we will place you together with another student of the same gender. This is a great way to start off a new friendship.
Optional - Single bedroom
If you wish to live in a room by yourself we provide you with the possibility to stay in a single room. This alternative is optional and the additional fee for a single bedroom is GBP 59 per course period.
Optional - En-suite room
There are both single and twin bedrooms that are en-suite, meaning you will have your own bathroom. Your room is placed in single-gender halls. For your safety and security, there is at least one member of staff (of the same gender) living in your hall. This alternative is optional and the additional fee for a for an en-suite room is GBP 49 per course period.
Facilities
The accommodation is equipped with a free laundry service, so that you can simply leave your dirty laundry in a basket, and it will be ready to be picked up in the common room two days later. The halls are connected to a main common room where you can hang out with your friends, play games and watch movies during the evenings and the days. There is access to evening tea and sandwiches in the common room and there are also vending machines by the sports hall a two-minute walk from the accommodation.
