Daily Schedule
On the day of your first course you need to register with us. Registration is between 08:30 and 09:00 at the Regent's College main reception. Classes run between 09:00 and 18:30 each day. During the days, there are scheduled breaks with coffee and snacks and one hour of lunch.
If you arrive from outside of London, we advise you to get in here on time in order to get a good night's sleep before you start the intense revision courses.
Where - Regent's College
You will be revising at Regent's College set in the middle of the beautiful Regent's Park, right in the centre of London. We are minutes away from the nearest tube station (Baker Street) and a short walk away from the busy Oxford Street and the bustling Piccadilly Square. There's not a more peaceful place to revise in the midst of a more exciting city.
How to get to the Course Centre and the Accommodation
You can travel to the course centre and the accommodation by tube or by bus. The underground is quicker in peak times, but slightly more expensive. We advise you buy an Oyster travel card at the station, particularly if you are with us for a while, as it halves the cost of a single fare and only costs £5. Below is a map of the course centre, accommodation, and nearby Tube stations.
View the London Spring Revision 2012 map in a larger window (external Google map).
The closest Tube stations to the course centre are Baker Street and Regent's Park station and it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk from each. To get to Carr-Saunders hall, you should either stop at Great Portland Street if coming from Paddington or Liverpool Street Station, or Warren Street if coming from Victoria.
You can easily walk through Regent's Park from your accommodation to get to the course centre and it will only take about 20 minutes, as well as being a beautiful and refreshing walk. If you plan on taking the tube, please familiarise yourself with the Tube map to plan your routes.
How to get to London
By Train
Coming from other parts of the UK, please visit the national rail website in order to plan your journey. If you want to come by train from continental Europe, most comfortably Paris or one of the BeNeLux countries, we advise you to have a look at the EuroStar website.
By Plane
If you are traveling from abroad, then you'll likely land at Heathrow, Stansted or Gatwick. We advise you to book early to get the cheapest flights.
The Heathrow Express, which stops at Paddington station and costs £16.50, departs directly from the airport and, 15 minutes later, you can hop on the London Underground. You can buy tickets at the airport or online. From Heathrow, you can also take the Underground on the Piccadilly line at the cost of £4, but it will take much longer.
The Stansted Express costs £18 and takes around 45 minutes to get to Liverpool Street Station from the airport. You can get straight on the London Underground from here. You can buy tickets at the airport or online.
The Gatwick Express arrives at London Victoria directly from the airport in 30 minutes and costs £16.90, and you can buy tickets at the airport or online. An underground station is right nearby. There is also a regular train service to London Victoria, which takes about 35 minutes and costs £10.90. You can book your tickets online at the Southern Railway website.
There are also affordable coach services from all airports into central London.
What to bring
We recommend that you bring all the equipment you would take to school (this includes a calculator), as well as all you'll need for the time you spend away from home. If you'd like to bring notes, feel free, but we'll be making a lot in class! You should bring some lunch money as there are cheap lunch alternatives in the canteen of Regent's College.
